Winners for the 2025-26 Entrepreneurship Programme Announced

Our team conducted an enrolment drive at Arjun Camp, Mahipalpur, Delhi, engaging directly with young women and their families through door-to-door outreach.

Through these interactions, the team introduced Ritinjali’s Second Chance Day School Programme, designed to support young women aged 18–24 in returning to education, building skills, and accessing pathways to internships and employment. The initiative focused on raising awareness among young women who have had to pause their education, ensuring they are informed about opportunities to continue their learning journey.

The response from the community was encouraging, reflecting strong interest and aspiration among young women to resume their education and work towards a more secure future.

Under the Centre for Escalation of Peace, a two-day Guru Conference on the life and legacy of Atīśa Dīpaṃkara Śrījñāna was held from 21–22 November 2025, followed by an exhibition from 21–30 November 2025.

Organised in collaboration with the India International Centre, the Library of Tibetan Works & Archives, Ritinjali, and Pallavan Learning Systems, the initiative brought together scholars, practitioners, and institutions for a rich exploration of Atīśa’s enduring contributions to Buddhist thought and practice.

The conference examined Atīśa’s journey as a scholar, reformer, and spiritual leader, tracing his intellectual foundations, travels across Asia, and his role in shaping Buddhist traditions through his teachings on ethics, discipline, and the path to enlightenment.

Discussions also explored the continued relevance of his seminal work, Bodhipathapradīpa (A Lamp for the Path to Enlightenment), as well as his influence across Tibet, Bhutan, and the wider Himalayan region.

Complementing the conference, the exhibition of manuscripts, relics, and photographs offered an immersive visual narrative of Atīśa’s life and legacy.

The initiative stood as a meaningful engagement with a shared intellectual and spiritual heritage, reaffirming the relevance of these teachings in contemporary times.

On 29–30 January 2019, the India International Centre, Centre for Escalation of Peace, and Sahapedia organised a conference on the Life and Legacy of Guru Padmasambhava at the India International Centre, New Delhi. The event was part of the celebrations marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Bhutan and featured an exhibition of rare thangkas, paintings, sculptures, and photographs.

The conference brought together respected spiritual leaders, scholars, practitioners, and academics to explore Guru Padmasambhava’s teachings, influence, and enduring legacy across the trans-Himalayan region. Through thematic discussions on his life, texts, iconography, rituals, and philosophy, participants reflected on the continuing relevance of his message. The event concluded with a shared recognition of Guru Padmasambhava’s timeless teachings and their significance in fostering wisdom, compassion, and cross-cultural understanding

Ajab Gajab Bazaar 2026: An Experiential Cultural Learning and Exchange

Ten students and three staff members from our Ekta Camp Learning Centre participated in Ajab Gajab Bazaar 2026, a three-day cultural mela held in Bhuj, Gujarat, in collaboration with the Shabad Shaala Foundation.

The engagement marked the culmination of sustained preparatory sessions conducted at Ritinjali’s Learning Centres, where students were introduced to diverse linguistic and cultural traditions through immersive interactions with folk artists from across regions.

Conceptualised as an experiential platform for cultural exchange, the mela translated this learning into practice through craft-based workshops, music, dialogue, and collective participation. Over three days, students engaged in activities such as clay modelling, block printing, bead-making, and performance, enabling them to connect cultural knowledge with lived experience.

The programme contributed to participants’ wholistic development by fostering reflection, empathy, and creative expression, while reinforcing the value of experiential learning as a meaningful complement to formal education.

Ritinjali’s annual Blanket Distribution Drive continued to reflect the spirit of shared humanity, as the community came together to support vulnerable individuals during Delhi’s harsh winter.

With the support of donors and well-wishers, 1,160 blankets were distributed across multiple locations. This included 200 blankets received in kind and financial contributions of ₹2,90,000, which enabled the procurement of an additional 960 blankets.

Blanket Distribution Drive: A Community Comes Together

Distributions were carried out across streets, informal settlements, hospitals, labour areas, and underserved communities in Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj, and Kusumpur Pahari. Students from the Second Chance School actively participated in the initiative, strengthening their sense of empathy, responsibility, and community engagement.

Recently, as part of a year-long journey and ongoing conversations on gender, social norms, patriarchy, power, and discrimination, girls from Kusumpur Pahari participated in a two-day Gender Training workshop that built on these discussions.

The workshop created a safe and supportive space for reflection, dialogue, and shared learning, enabling participants to critically examine how gender shapes everyday experiences and influences opportunities.

Through interactive methods such as storytelling, role-playing, discussions, and film screenings, the girls explored how ideas of ‘good’ and ‘bad’ are constructed, and how power dynamics operate within families and society.

As part of a longer-term learning journey, the workshop supports participants in undertaking individual projects that translate their learning into meaningful action, strengthening their voice, confidence, and leadership skills.
