Ritinjali: bringing hope where there is none; an NGO established in 1995, has been working in the field of education and community development. Ritinjali's work has been mainly with the marginalized communities of areas in and around Delhi, Gujarat, Uttaranchal, Tripura and Meghalaya, including slum dwellers, jail inmates, grief and poverty stricken individuals and communities and victims of war and natural disasters, all this through an extensive volunteer network.

As all social and community development is centred around education, Ritinjali hopes to provide "holistic" education towards nurturing empowered, responsible citizens, capable of not only providing for themselves, but also of contributing actively to their local communities through enterprise, awareness and self-induced social responsibility.

Ritinjali runs intensive volunteer-based and professional programmes that aim at social development through meaningful interactions for both volunteers as well as for individuals and communities that are the recipients of Ritinjali's education programmes, aid and assistance.
