Queen Rania Of Jordan Visited the Kusumpur pahari Learning centre run by Ritinjali On Friday March 10 th 2006 .On her arrival she was welcomed by Mr. Kapur and was introduced to the Ritinjali Staff. The Children who were waiting in great anticipation welcomed her with a welcome song. She then lighted the lamp placed at the entrance. The queen interacted with the children at the upper level and also with the teachers at the centre. Children at the upper centre are children who are between the age group of 4-6 years and the queen was also happy to see such small kids being given the basic selementary education.

After that she visited the children at the Lower level who are between the age group of 7-15 years and older. The older children are those who are taught beautician courses and tailoring. The Children were more than happy to show their assignments to her and it was also well appreciated by the queen when she heard that this has also helped them in earning a living for themselves.

Apart from interacting with the children, she planted a sapling and also handed over books and CD's prepared by UNICEF. Mr. Kapur Presented the queen with a small gift which was a Ritinjali bag, which contained the INA Movie, 2 prayer, mats, Newsletters for the month of January and February, Ritinjali Planners and Calendar. Sweets that were brought From Jordan were also distributed to the children at the Learning Centre.

She was requested to sign on the visitor's book on which she wrote,

“Thank you For Such a warm welcome; it was a wonderful start to my trip to India. Your centre is an inspiring and happy place, as the bright and eager young faces attest. Congratulations; long may your excellent work Continue.”
