Old Age Home

Ritinjali has also been interacting with the residents of Prem Daan an old peoples home at Fathepur beri at two levels-emotional and practical. Vounteers visit the home every week, taking meals, magazines, showing movies and sorting out problems like broken water tanks, basins and plumbing.Renovation work of the building is also done on a regular basis by Ritinjali. Ritinjali also organizes regular medical check ups for the residents and also buys the prescribed medicines.But more than anything else these old people need someone to talk to and they look forward to these visits.

Recently a young group of volunteers visited the old age home and distributed candles and biscuits.The volunteers also sang songs and interacted with them warmly and made the day quite special for them.As of now there are 11 inmates in the old age home out of which there are 6 men and 5 women.Most of them are in the age group of 65 to 90 years.
