Minutes of the Meeting (3rd May, 2007)

The main issue discussed were
1) A presentation was made to Mr. Kapur on Ritinjali Communications, which highlighted the different ways through which we can inform all our members as well as others who are associated with Ritinjali about the various projects and activities being undertaken by us.
2) One of the main features of the presentation was the Ritinjali Calendar, which outlined all the events scheduled to take place from May 2007 to March 2008. Mr. Kapur asked us to send a copy of the calendar to all the members. He also wanted us to ensure that the activities that were listed out should be held on the specified date.
3) Mr. Kapur emphasized that the website should be updated regularly. While he did not want any changes in the website design, he wanted the latest information on all the projects to be put up as soon as possible.
4) Mr. Kapur asked us to increase the number of Ritinjali Members from 47 to a 100 members.
5) Mr. Kapur informed us that we should immediately start producing a vast number of Ritinjali products. He said this was imperative to us raising more funds for Ritinjali. These products include:
a) Any indegenous sweet which will be packaged in a cylindrical box with the Ritinjali Logo on it, to be sent out once a year to all our members and sponsors.
b) Candles, made out of the highest quality wax, by the children we work with. These are to be sold in packs of ten. Mr. Kapur said he would ensure that the boxes to pack these candles in would be designed, and gave Mrs. Dhar the responsibility of buying the mold and wax. The deadline to show Mr. Kapur the finished products is the 9th of July.
c) Duvet Covers, designed by the inmates of Tihar Jail. Mr. Kapur said he would like to see samples of these as well as bags, with the Ritinjali logo on them by the 22nd of May. He will then place orders for them to be produced further.
d) Mr. Kapur also asked Mrs. Dhar to ensure that the Mahipalpur and Kusumpur Pahari Tailoring Centres should produce Ritinjali bags as well.
6) Mr. Kapur stressed on the importance of producing high quality products. He said he wanted people to associate Ritinjali with the highest standards in everything it undertakes.
7) Mr. Kapur showed us a sample of the donation booklet produced by Ritinjali. These can be given to all the members to help raise funds. He asked Satish to ensure that all these booklets are delivered to Ashish at Mahipalpur by the 9th of May.
8) Mr. Kapur announced that Mrs. Dhar would be incharge of the Mahipalpur Office and would ensure that the centre is kept clean and that all the employees utilize their time effectively to complete the tasks assigned to them.
