Ritinjali celebrates Dussehra :-

Dussehra was celebrated at the Kusumpur Pahari and Nathupur Pahari Learning Centres. On this occasion, a holiday was declared in the Kusumpur Learning Center as the Learning Centre also doubles up as “Ramlila” ground.
The celebrations were held before the school closed. The children depicted the story of Ram through paintings and pictures they made of different events that occurred.
They also made cut-outs of Ravana, Kumbhakaran and Meghnaad.
They made Ravana masks and crowns for themselves.
They had a great time dressing up!

Mobilisation continue at Kusumpur Pahari :-

To keep in a close contact with the children studying at the Kusumpur Pahari Learning Center , it was decided that the teachers would regularly visit their homes and families.
“Adopt a family” was rolled out this month in which, teachers regularly visited the families and mobilised the community.

The teachers divided the various blocks of Kusumpur Pahari and visited their blocks regularly. They also carried small gifts and clothes for the children and their families. They have been able to effectively build a personal rapport with the parents of the children and it has also helped them develop a deeper understanding of the issues the children and the families deal with on a day – to – basis.
